Installation on Windows 8 is much the same as installing on Windows 7.

Check to see if there is a C:\Program Files (x86)\TeleMagic\ folder on the W8 PC. If not, copy the folder and sub folders from a working installation to the new computer. Set the folder to be writeable by anyone. The folder is used by TeleMagic to write a few temporary files that are workstation specific.
Turn UAC off.
Start TeleMagic as an administrator.
- Use Start8 to bypass the Metro interface.
- Select Start – All Programs – Accessories and right click on Command Prompt – Run as Administrator.
- Using DOS commands, go to the TeleMagic program folder and run DButil and select Copy/Register system files.
- Create a printer called TeleMagic Fax 35 and use the Generic Text printer driver
Also here’s a tip for both Windows 7 and Windows 8.
If you are log in as user A and you see the drives all mapped, that drive
mapping is ONLY for user A.
If you say Run as Administrator, Windows will create a new environment for user Administrator and run the application within that new environment.
If the user Administrator hasn’t been set up or doesn’t have a login script set up to map the network drive, then user Administrator and the application running under Run as Administrator won’t see the drive mapping.
Always remember that Windows 7 and Windows 8 runs as a Terminal Server
environment where each user has their own environment.
Installing on a domain network? If so, then log in as the domain administrator first and do DButil and run TM. Do not log in as a user with administrator rights, that does not work. It HAS to be the actual username ADMINISTRATOR in order for DButil to work.
